Package lockers

Smart lockers that hand packages over without staff

FP Smart Lockers are FP Mailing Solutions' modular parcel lockers: a central module with a touchscreen and scanner, plus extension modules in different door mixes, built for indoor or outdoor installation and available temperature-controlled. They reduce package handling, eliminate lost deliveries and give recipients secure pickup at any hour, with cloud-based management and analytics behind them.

They stand alone or integrate fully with TRAXsuite, so a package placed in a locker joins the same audit trail as one delivered to a desk. We size, install and support them from Tampa.

FP Smart Lockers

More than parcel delivery and pickup.

A recipient does not need the app. When a package is placed, they get a notification; tapping it opens the locker from their phone, or they use the touchscreen. The door can be locked and unlocked as many times as needed during a session, so there are no accidental lockouts. Every drop-off and pickup is recorded, and the management software reports on it.

The hardware is galvanized steel with an e-coat or powder finish, a tamper-proof internal locking system, a camera at the console, LED lighting, item and door detection, and an emergency box-opening procedure. Configurations are tailored to the size of the business and can grow later by adding modules. Custom vinyl wraps are available, and the system is ADA compliant.

Modules and door mixes

Every system starts with a central module carrying the console, with six small, eight medium and two large doors. Extension modules add doors in different mixes: one adds ten small, eight medium and two large; one is six large and two extra-large; one is four large and two 3X-large for the biggest boxes; and one spreads across every size from extra-small up. Mix them to match what actually arrives, and add another module when the volume grows.

Indoor, outdoor and temperature-controlled

The same modules are rated for indoor and outdoor installation. Temperature-controlled lockers hold food or other perishables cold or hot until pickup, which is where grocery, food-service and healthcare customers use them. FP has also offered the wrapped, sized-to-fit mailroom version under the ParcelPod name; ask us which configuration applies to your space.

With TRAXsuite

TRAXsuite identifies the recipient from the shipping label, sends the notification, and records whether the package went to a person, a location or a locker. Delivery to a locker is picked up with a PIN or QR code, with the scan as proof of delivery. See the inbound parcel tracking page for the software on its own.

Questions we get asked

Does the recipient need to install an app?

No. The notification carries a link that opens the locker from the phone, and the touchscreen accepts a code or QR code. The app is optional.

Can I add capacity later?

Yes. The design is modular, and FP configures a system to today's volume with the ability to grow by adding extension modules later.

What happens if a door is closed before the package is in?

The user can lock and unlock the locker as many times as needed during the session, so a door shut too early is reopened from the same screen or phone.

Tell us what comes through your door

How many packages a day, who they are for, and where they wait now. We will size a locker bank or a tracking system to that, quote it, and install it.
