PostBase Pro DS

PostBase Pro DS is the latest generation of PostBase, engineered in Germany with a modular design for maximum throughput. Dynamic weighing, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, a large color touchscreen and an icon-driven menu make high volumes simple: up to 90 letters a minute weighed, accurately priced, sealed and metered, or 140 a minute when weighing is not needed.

The Stack & Go feeder takes mixed sizes and weights; anti-skew rollers square each envelope before it enters. The dynamic scale reads size and shape on the fly and rates each piece. A seal-check sensor confirms every flap went through the sealer, and the EZ Tilt touchscreen adjusts to six positions so you can stand or sit and still see it.

Postage downloads over your LAN. Up to 50 advertising logos and custom messages print with the indicia, and cost accounting covers up to 250 departments. MailOne 2.0 software adds monitoring, management and reporting of postage spend.

PostBase Pro is the Pro DS without the in-line dynamic scale. It has the same Stack & Go feeder, anti-skew rollers, validated sealer, six-position touchscreen and modular German engineering, and it runs mixed sizes of mail automatically at the push of a button.

Weighing uses the platform scale, good for thick letters and small packages up to 15 lb, with differential weighing: set a stack on the scale, send the pieces through one at a time, and the meter calculates postage for each as the weight drops. The built-in label dispenser prints a label for anything too thick to feed.
